Charles was a lover of blue jeans. He was a casual man who loved music. As a tribute to his love for music we will release the "Jeans CD" every year as an annual fundraiser. This year we are proud to release an album of unreleased music from Charles Stepney and the Gospel Album that he produced for his brother Sterling Stepney.
These are Limited Edition CD's by a special release from the Estate of Charles Stepney. The 1st 1000 CD's will contain 7 tracks written, arranged and produced by Charles that have never been released before. Each CD will be signed by a family member with a numbered copy of an original Charles Stepney lead sheet in his writing, wrapped in our special commemorative jean packaging and a Charles Stepney Estate Donor Card as a token of our appreciation.
When you donate $25.00 or more to the Charles Stepney Foundation, we will forward a limited edition copy to you and you will be a participant in assisting all of the artists, their works and their legacies as we move forward in creating an even playing field in the industry of music and entertainment. MUSIC FROM THE BASEMENT $25.00 by CHARLES STEPNEY This mid 70's recording is vintage Charles Stepney. These song were recorded in his Basement Studio on Euclid avenue in Chicago. There he created timeless relationships with his art and his friends. You'll hear his arrangements and writing style in it's raw form. His horn, strings, base guitar and piano arrangements will remind you of his passion and love for his art. After first hearing this cd, we could hear who he had in mind for these songs. This is the kind of cd that Charles used to shop his music to different groups. We hope that you'll enjoy it as much as we do. |

This melodic journey of a capella gospel sounds will put you in a spiritual mind as you enjoy the 5 voice range of Sterling Stepney and the members of Ambassadors for Christ. Sit back and prepare yourself of an enjoyable event. It was always a goal of Charles and his brother Sterling to work together but somehow it hadn't happened until this time the mid 70's. Although they had plans of working together in the future Charles' untimely death put an end to that dream. Sterling Stepney passed away in 2003 and now we believe that they're working together in studio A in heaven.
